"Netanyahu reads from Bible to prove Hebron's Tomb of Patriarchs is Jewish"

Netanyahu read from the Bible to demonstrate that UNESCO's resolution on Hebron negated religion, history and the facts.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu read passages from the Bible during Sunday's weekly Cabinet meeting as a refutation of Friday's resolution passed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Committee designating the Tomb of the Patriarchs and Hebron a Palestinian heritage site.

"I would like to read from Genesis 23:16-19: 'And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver, which he had named in the hearing of the children of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, current money with the merchant...And after this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre–the same is Hebron–in the land of Canaan. And the field, and the cave that is therein, were made sure unto Abraham for a possession of a burying-place by the children of Heth,'" Netanyahu read.

"The connection between the Jewish People and Hebron and the Tomb of the Patriarchs is one of purchase and of history which may be without parallel in the history of peoples," Netanyahu declared. ...

"Why Won't Abbas Accept "Two States for Two Peoples"?" by Alan M. Dershowitz - June 12, 2017

  • Over the years, and to the current day, they continue to want no state for the Jewish people more than they want a state for Palestinian Arabs.
  • The general idea of a two-state solution – which Abbas has nominally supported – does not specify that one state would be for the Jewish people and the other one for the Arabs.
  • When the Palestinian leadership and people want their own state more than they want there not to be a state for the Jewish people, the goal of the 1947 U.N. Resolution – two states for two peoples – will be achieved. A good beginning would be for Abbas finally to agree with the U.N. Resolution and say the following words: "I accept the 1947 U.N. Resolution that calls for two states for two peoples." It's not too much to ask from a leader seeking to establish a Palestinian Muslim state. ...

to be "the Singapore of the Middle East," or to more terrorism and war? (illustr.)"The Offer that Turns the Gaza Strip into Singapore" - by Bassam Tawil

- Last week, Hamas received an offer that no sane entity would turn down. The offer did not come from Hamas's allies in Iran and the Islamic world. The offer, to turn the impoverished Gaza Strip into "the Singapore of the Middle East," came from Israel.

- "The Gazans must understand that Israel, which withdrew from the Gaza Strip to the last millimeter, is not the source of their suffering -- it is the Hamas leadership, which doesn't take their needs into consideration... The moment Hamas gives up its tunnels and rockets, we'll be the first to invest." — Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman.

- Hamas does not want a new "Singapore" in the Middle East. Hamas wants Israel to disappear from the face of the earth. The welfare of the Palestinians living under its rule is the last thing on the mind of Hamas. The dispute is not about improving the living conditions of Palestinians, as far as Hamas is concerned. Instead, it is about the very existence of Israel.

- Hamas deserves credit for one thing: its honesty concerning its intentions to destroy Israel and kill as many Jews as possible. Hamas does not want 40,000 new jobs for the unemployed poor Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. It would rather see these unemployed Palestinians join its ranks and become soldiers in the jihad to replace Israel with an Islamic empire. ...

Yair Lapid [Flash 90]"Lapid: Stop supporting the extreme left"
Yair Lapid sends scathing letter to Belgian ambassador after Belgian PM meets with Breaking the Silence and B'tselem.

Yesh Atid Chairman Yair Lapid expressed surprised at Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel's meetings with leading figures in radical left anti-Zionist NGOs Breaking the Silence and B'tselem during Michel's recent visit to Israel.

In a letter to the Belgian ambassador, Lapid wrote, "My son serves in the army, he's in a tank unit. He's a good kid with strong morals - just like his friends and commanders. During the past few years, they've spent a good deal of time saving injured Syria children and bringing them to Israeli hospitals. They are patriots and they are law-abiding."

Lapid also called on the Belgian ambassador to stop Belgium's support for organizations which malign IDF soldiers. ...
